Sorry if this was unhelpful, but I'd investigate verifying your version of skyrim. I don't remember where I saw others talking about it though. It's correctly listed in the in game menu somewhere if i recall. Or more accurately it's shortened, ie ver 1.8.5 when it's really 1.8.5.985. I remember hearing about an issue where skyrims version that's listed is different from what it really is. Now suddenly I'm getting an error message when I launch saying "Please Update To The Latest Version Of Skyrim", I just hit OK and play the game but it's annoying that it comes every time I wanna play. I followed a guide on how to launch SKSE from Steam, and it worked no problem. Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be releasing next Thursday, November 11th, ten years after its initial release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011.So I have the latest version of Skyrim, and I installed SKSE no problem. You can check out more details on Skyrim's latest release on the Bethesda website. While Xbox One users will see their achievements carry over to the Anniversary Edition from the Special Edition, PlayStation 4 to PS5 players won't see trophy progress carry over, though no reason was given as to why.Īdditionally, there will be a physical edition of Skyrim Anniversary Edition as well, though to take advantage of the Creation Club content you will need internet to redeem and download the added content.

Achievements and trophy progress is a little more convoluted.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be releasing next week on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and includes all of the content released from the core game and Special Edition. Additionally, the Anniversary Edition will feature all new content for the 10-year-old game in the form Creation Club content, such as quests, fishing and much more. First things first: the Skyrim Anniversary Edition will run players $49.99, though if you already own the Special Edition on the various platforms it's released on in the last ten years, you'll be able to snag the upgrade to the Anniversary version for $19.99.įor those who own either the Skyrim Special Edition or Anniversary Edition, there is a next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X owners, which will "optimize the game with enhanced graphics, faster loading times and more."
