I'm hoping the problem is a cheap midi cable and the CLP-411 is fully general midi (soundset) compatible - any suggestions would be warmly received. However when input was being recorded the metronom noise could not be turned off (and as al we heard was piano you can imagine how distracting this was for the musician). I am not familiar with Sibelius (just a techy). manual for the keyboard? If that is the case - any suggestions where I could find one for the CLP-411? If we need to create a new soundset for the CLP-411 does anyone have a tutorial on how to do it? I saw a few references to "reference manuals" in other posts - do you mean the ref. Is Sib 4 the right version to be using with such an old keyboard? Does anyone have any advice on the right version to use with it?Ĥ. Do you know if there is a special soundset that works for both input and output? Right now the piano is all I can hear if I try playing Sib through the keyboard.ģ. The midi cable came from eBay and was a cheap 16 chanel one - Would there be any issues using the low cost midi/usb cable? (specs shown here:)
The i/o cable is recognised okay but we are having trouble driving the keyboard correctly through Sib4. The PC comes with Sib4 and he ha purchased a USB midi cable with midi in and midi out support. I am a newbie techie trying to help a friend get his Yamaha CLP-411 working with his new PC.
